FANCY DRESS DAY!

On Friday the 27th of October 2023, the student council organised a school-wide fancy dress-up day. Students brought in two euros that day, with all the money raised going to Pieta House. Our fundraising was a huge success. A great effort was made in terms of costumes throughout each year group, as well as amongst the staff. Prizes were given to the best costume in each year.

CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY!

On Monday the 11th of December, the student council organised their annual Christmas jumper day. It was the last day of school before the exams, however that did not dampen the festive spirit. With every student wearing their festive jumper and enjoying this magical time of the year.

PIETA HOUSE

Last Halloween, the students of St Michaels college raised over €900 for Pieta house during the Halloween themed dress up day. This is a great achievement for the school and it reflects the students willingness to help those who have been affected by suicide in their lives.

ART COMPETITION!

Michael Byrne & Kevin Zhang won the School Council Art Competition during the SCT Cup campaign. Congratulations to both boys on some fine artwork.

STUDENT COUNCIL REPORT

On Saturday the 13th of April, the student council and two other 5th year science students, Dylan De Vreeze and William Loughrey showed parents around the new facilities of the senior school and the junior school, which include the latest science labs and the new extension to the junior school. The tour started with the student council showing parents the new biology, physics and chemistry labs, the computer science room and the library. After that, they were brought over to the junior school by student council members to show them the new premises in the junior school. They were shown all three floors, including the rooftop yard in the junior school. The tour ended in the multi-purpose hall in the junior school, where Ms.Heslin and Mr. Kelleher held a speech.
